I can tell if something is AI-generated within 10 seconds. Just like people who vibe code a lot can tell if a website was vibecoded. They know what fonts Claude usually picks. What the boxes look like. The formatting, etc. They've just seen it enough times to know that it just is. It's the same thing for me with writing. Seen it enough times. That's not to say that you shouldn't use AI for writing. I use AI constantly. For things like research, checking facts, interviewing me with thoughtful questions or even testing my arguments. It's good at these things. But the ideas and opinions have to come from you. A lot of the times my ideas come from conversations or something I read or just a life experience. AI cannot do that. I think a lot of people started writing post 2023 (ChatGPT launch). And honestly now it's just sort of assumed that AI is used to a certain extent in all writing. That's fine. The problem comes when the ideas are obviously not yours. It's just seen as lazy and not well done. This matters way more the bigger you are. If you're just starting out, nobody cares enough.
