The price drop from US$30 to US$4 per 1M characters in two weeks shows how quickly TTS pricing is collapsing, undercutting Simba 3.2 (US$6.6) and Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite TTS (US$11). Developers building voice assistants or audio content in English markets can now get top-ranked quality at the lowest listed rate, with the caveat that Qwen-Audio-3.1-TTS-Plus still leads for US accents.
HeyGen released HeyGen Voice Turbo, which now ranks #1 on the Artificial Analysis Controlled Voice TTS Arena with an Elo of 1,202 across 1,663 appearances among 46 models. It outranks its predecessor HeyGen Voice (1,196) and Qwen-Audio-3.1-TTS-Plus (1,185), and also leads in the Assistants and Entertainment categories. The model scores 87.8% on Pronunciation Robustness, up from HeyGen Voice's 83.2%, and ranks #1 in Preserving Exact Sequences at 91.8%. Priced at US$4 per 1M characters, it is the cheapest model on the leaderboard and 7.5x cheaper than HeyGen Voice at US$30 per 1M characters.
