PyTorchCon 2026 Draws 3,500+ Attendees and Adds Nine Members
Hardware vendors Google, AWS and Meta are converging on native PyTorch support, signalling that the framework has become the de facto portability layer across TPUs, Trainium and GPUs. Engineers training models outside NVIDIA silicon should track TorchTPU and TorchNeuron as they mature. The conference returns to San Jose on 6–7 Oct 2027.
PyTorchCon North America 2026 brought over 3,500 attendees to San Jose, where the PyTorch Foundation welcomed nine new members, including Nebius, Nscale and Shopify as Platinum members. Google and Meta introduced TorchTPU for native PyTorch execution on Google TPUs, while AWS announced TorchNeuron for Trainium. TorchTitan expanded model support, improved training performance and added reinforcement learning through TitanRL. The programme featured more than 100 sessions and 144 poster sessions, plus Day 0 training and workshops. The 2026 PyTorch Contributor Awards honoured work across PyTorch, vLLM, DeepSpeed, Ray, Helion and Safetensors.

The PyTorch Foundation welcomed nine new members, including @Nebius, @Nscale, and @Shopify as Platinum members, deepening its role as the intelligence layer for open source AI development.

The program featured more than 100 sessions and 144 poster sessions, alongside Day 0 training and workshops. In the Community Expo, attendees connected with sponsors, exhibitors, and core maintainers through booth conversations, demonstrations, and Meet the Developers.
The 2026 PyTorch Contributor Awards recognized innovation, collaboration, and impact across PyTorch, vLLM, DeepSpeed, Ray, Helion, and Safetensors.
