Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) jointly developed the Chain of Trust reference architecture with GoDaddy, Google and Cloudflare to establish trust mechanisms between AI agents. The three companies demonstrated how the architecture works on 15 October 2026. It is a reference architecture with Singapore government backing, not a mandatory regulation.

What it means for you

  • Companies deploying AI agents in Singapore and the region can use the reference architecture to design inter-agent authentication and trust transfer, improving interoperability.
  • As an IMDA-backed framework, it is positioned to evolve into an industry standard or regulatory requirement; early alignment reduces future compliance costs.
  • With domain and network infrastructure leaders involved, infrastructure and agent service providers have partnership and ecosystem integration opportunities.
