Spoilsport! How are we gonna panic about heat-based communications between air-gapped computers if you guys keeping bringing reality into it? Romeo Lupascu @RomeoLupascu But this isn't about what's possible. An airgapped environment by definition isn't just two computers that do not have any electrical connectivity but they have NO connectivity at all, regardless of what method you'd imagine aside electric. That means you design and test the "airgap" so that NOTHING can be exchanged in any way. Heat? You can simply put them few meters apart an give no heat sensors to the systems and they can't communicate. In the same line of thinking EM radiation from the processors and current consumption from the power sources could be used to transfer state but you design the "airgap" so that NOTHIG can cross. I mean really are we joking here? And I'm not sure what's the point Noam is trying to make. Really it makes zero sense. 🔗 View Quoted Tweet 💬 0 🔄 1 ❤️ 14 👀 2456 📊 1 ⚡
