OpenAI 本周招聘 Thomas Lind，他此前在美国国家网络主任办公室（ONCD）负责 AI 政策，将领导国家安全团队的网络与战略风险工作。其前办公室参与制定了先进 AI 模型公开发布前的政府自愿审查框架。此前 OpenAI 还招入了曾参与起草特朗普 AI 行动计划的 Dean Ball，该团队由前拜登时期五角大楼高级官员 Sasha Baker 领导。这套人事布局显示 OpenAI 在补齐与华盛顿政策圈沟通的通道。
Interesting: OpenAI has hired Thomas Lind, a former White House AI policy chief, to lead cyber and strategic risk on its national security team.
The Information reports that Lind joined this week after leading AI policy at the Office of the National Cyber Director.
His former office helped develop the government’s voluntary framework for reviewing advanced AI models before public release.
Remember: OpenAI also hired Dean Ball, who helped draft Trump’s AI Action Plan. Lind’s team is led by Sasha Baker, a former senior Biden Pentagon official.
OpenAI is building a team with direct experience of how Washington handles AI policy and national security. I assume they dont want to end in a situation similar to which Anthropic was with the US Government.
