Google TPU的Lead Design Engineer透露，公司使用内部模型设计TPU芯片，该模型比公开的Gemini更强大。该AI已取代大部分设计工作，且效率高于人类工程师。工程师表示对这一内部模型的效果非常满意。
Google TPU 的 Lead Design Engineer 透露： 他们有内部模型，比 Gemini 牛的多，他们用这个内部模型设计 TPU 芯片，已经取代了大部分人的工作，且比人更高效。 原来 Google 还有没公开的内部模型，且比 Gemini 强得多？是不是每个 AI Lab 都有这样的隐藏武器？ 在前司做桌面智能设备时，也正赶上 AI 发展起来的初期，当时我也在想，能不能完全让 AI 来设计 3D 打印机，或者 UV 打印、激光雕刻机之类的，按现在的 AI 能力来看，我的答案是：肯定可以。 只要把目标定义好：用来切割/雕刻/打印什么材料、主要用途、人群特征、价格范围、工厂地域等等，甚至让 AI 把软硬件结合部分都设计好，顺便把软件也自己搞定。 只是因为被前司辞退，也没机会实现这个想法了，很期待行业内有没有哪个团队真的用 AI 把它 Vibe 出来！ Damnang @damnang2 I met a lead design engineer working on Google’s TPUs. He told me that AI has already taken over most of their design work and does it more efficiently than humans. He said they use their own internal model, which is much smarter than the publicly available Gemini, and they’re really happy with it. That got me thinking: 1. What do I need to do to avoid being replaced by AI as an engineer? 2. It sounds like Google already has a more capable model internally. When will they release it? 3. X support is fucking trash.
