SpaceX is seeking approval for up to 456 Starship launches a year from Starbase, Texas.
• That’s more than 18 times the current annual limit of 25 launches.
• At the full proposed rate, that would average 38 launches a month, or more than one a day.
• The plan also includes up to 912 landings annually because Starship and its Super Heavy booster return separately.
• The current approval allows up to 50 landings a year.
The FAA is preparing an environmental review and will gather public feedback on the expansion.
SpaceX is aiming for a future where reusable rockets launch, land and fly again regularly, helping make spaceflight more accessible.
