Vercel open sources fx0, a fast HTML artifact builder on libfx

The durability layer is the real story: libfx packages the crash-and-retry plumbing that v0 needed, so teams can build their own code-generation agents without re-solving it. Developers prototyping UI tools can fork the project and swap in any of the 200+ AI Gateway models, making it a practical alternative to closed artifact generators. Everything is free and open source under Vercel's ecosystem.
Vercel has open sourced fx0, a 'mini v0' HTML artifact builder available at fx0.vercel.dev. The tool is powered by libfx, a library that makes the generating agent durable against server crashes, flaky LLMs and function limits. It draws on 200+ models available through the Vercel AI Gateway and outputs pure HTML artifacts. Vercel says the low-level plumbing behind v0's reliability was difficult to build, and libfx now makes it free and open source.

We open sourced a *really fast* HTML artifact builder. It's powered by libfx, making the agent durable. Building the low-level plumbing for v0 to survive server crashes, flaky LLMs, function limits was a huge pain. Now it's easy, free, and OSS: fx0.vercel.dev . PS: I built this floating container in a few minutes… it's delightful, and it's just HTML!
