The European Commission has issued a call for proposals under the Apply AI programme for an Innovation Action (IA) to build a modular multilingual public-interest AI infrastructure for European news and audiovisual media. The call opened on 20 October 2026 and closes on 16 February 2027, funding pilots of AI-enabled media infrastructures.
