Finally getting some progress in AI at work. Three things happened this week:
- We got access to Cowork in Copilot. - Started setting up MCP for Salesforce. - Got access to computer use in Copilot Studio.
Together - plus skills being available in Cowork - these have unlocked a lot of options. There are still issues, though:
- Cowork in Copilot seems a little janky. Tasks don’t always complete, and you can’t run too many at the same time. Same issue with Codex. - Weird bugs. For example, I’m finding it hard to instruct Cowork to save files to our SharePoints. I’ve had to create a skill just for that. - The Salesforce MCP server default settings and tools are limited, but I’m hoping to get customised, hosted MCPs up and running. - We need the Salesforce connector for the Sales app turned on. It might be the easiest way to access Salesforce data in our MS ecosystem.
Computer use looks powerful, though, and I’m hoping to use it mostly for our VMs.
Microsoft is finally offering useful AI business tools. Long way to go, though.
