Just went on BBC TV and they opened with clips today from Altman, Huang, and Sanders. Altman and Huang want us to believe that the AI companies have the public interest at heart and will happily just pull dangerous products if there was an issue. Seriously? You can already see how unlikely that is with GPT-6 Astra, apparently involved in the OAI/Hugging Face incident (and probably others), yet released despite its worrisome decreased monitorability. Meanwhile, Sanders claims AI is more dangerous than nukes, which is also at best extremely speculative. From one extreme to the other. Everybody is posturing and nobody is speaking truth. Honest conversation is deeply lacking now — right at the moment when we need it most. And it’s going to bite humanity in the ass. 💬 2 🔄 4 ❤️ 17 👀 2705 📊 5 ⚡
