Opus 5.5 Drives Storytelling Workflow with Jimeng CLI
The workflow shows coding agents can now act as full creative directors for video pipelines, not just code generators. Builders experimenting with agent-driven content production can replicate the setup by pairing a strong reasoning model with a video-generation CLI. Jimeng is ByteDance's video model, so the combo is a practical US-model-meets-Chinese-toolchain example.
A user tested Claude Opus 5.5 combined with the Jimeng (即梦) CLI to produce short cinematic storytelling videos. Opus 5.5 made all creative decisions, including scene orchestration, video effects, prompt writing and video editing. The Jimeng CLI handled image and video generation for each storyboard shot. Code-driven animation effects were layered on top of the video, which improved the visual quality.
