Baidu releases Unlimited-OCR-2 for whole-book OCR
The interesting part is SR-SWA: stable latency and memory on book-length inputs tackles the real bottleneck of long-document OCR pipelines, where cost usually grows with length. Teams processing contracts, archives or full publications can deploy the 3B model on modest hardware through Transformers or SGLang. It competes directly with other small open-source OCR models rather than cloud-only document APIs.
