Netflix stated that the tools helped deliver higher quality output more quickly and at lower cost than traditional methods. In some cases they enabled key shots and sequences that would otherwise have been left out, with most of the work happening in post-production on complex elements such as crowds and battles.
The programmes were already made, released and watched. The results passed without complaint until the label appeared.
