Also, a lot of people are getting confused about Ultra. Ultra isn’t a reasoning level - it seems to use High reasoning, or a hybrid. But its tricky is it also runs sub-agents rather than a single agent. Claude’s Ultracode is similar, but it uses dynamic workflows.
Max is the highest reasoning level - and it’s hidden by default in Codex. The UI is confusing, but honestly, we should be used to that from AI labs by now. 😜
