数学家 Terence Tao 在 Caltech 举办的 Science x AI Summit 主题演讲中表达了对 AI 介入数学研究的节奏担忧。他提到 AI 虽然正在接连解决包括 Navier-Stokes 在内的重要猜想,但产出质量远低于从容、有条理方式下应有的水平。他强调数学问题不像世界危机,不需要赶工,可以放慢速度来做。

"We can afford to be slower than this. And seriously, where we are now is not right.
Okay, fine, they’re (AI) solving major conjectures and so forth left and right, but they’re not actually creating any value. Or whatever they have is much, much worse, much weaker than what it could have been if it was done in a leisurely, principled manner.
And, you know, these problems, "Navier stroke" we don’t urgently need them next week. This is not something that we need to cram on. This is not a major world-crisis-type situation. We can afford to be slower than this.
And seriously, where we are now is not right.”
