据 Reuters 报道，OpenAI 把大部分代码集中存放在一个 monorepo，任何有代码访问权限的员工都能查看大量项目的细节，包括与自己工作无关的敏感项目。内部员工多年来一直向高层反映这一权限问题，相关投诉曾传到高管和董事会层面，但部分员工认为追赶 Google 和 Anthropic 的优先级更高。OpenAI 回应称，模型权重和大部分最敏感的工作内容存放在 monorepo 之外。
According to Reuters, OpenAI stored most of its code in one monorepo, so anyone with code access could read details of many projects, including sensitive ones unrelated to their own work.
OpenAI staff warned leaders for years that anyone with code access could see details of many projects.
Those complaints reached executives and the board, yet some staff concluded that keeping up with Google and Anthropic came first.
Although, OpenAI says model weights and much of its most sensitive work sit outside the monorepo.
