Aaron Levie sees real breadth emerging in the AI industry rather than value concentrating in a handful of frontier labs.
He notes the big labs will keep their advantages in compute, revenue and research, and will continue pushing model progress. Alongside that, he points to an ecosystem building around tuned models, applied business tools, domain-specific labs, infrastructure layers and services firms.
This gives companies more practical routes to extract value without depending entirely on general-purpose frontier models. It looks more sustainable than a narrow winner-take-all structure.
Plenty of these players will still fail or get consolidated, and underlying model quality will remain the limiting factor for most serious work.
