The failure is a well-known trap: Application Auto Scaling holds a reference outside the stack, so a routine endpoint update breaks drift-safe deployments. Wrapping deregister and register logic in a CDK construct removes the manual step and keeps the whole endpoint lifecycle in code. MLOps engineers managing SageMaker inference at scale can drop the construct into existing stacks.

Sentence-level streaming cuts the dead wait between an agent finishing its text and the first audible word, which is the main latency users notice in voice apps. Developers building voice agents can reuse the SageMaker deployment pattern with SSE or binary transport directly. Kokoro-82M is an open-weight model, so it can also be self-hosted outside AWS for cost comparison.

Wrong autoscaling thresholds on GPU endpoints either burn money on idle capacity or break latency guarantees, and most teams tune them by trial and error. The Q_max and T_total measurement method gives a reproducible formula you can apply to any custom inference workload, not just TTS. MLOps and platform engineers running SageMaker endpoints should try the walkthrough to benchmark their own scaling policy.
